GALLE (Dunya News/AA) - A 88-run partnership between Zulfiqar Babar and Asad Shafiq helped Pakistan to reach 390-8 at tea on day four of the first test against Sri Lanka.
Shafiq (115 not out) added runs quickly, with Pakistan scoring 390 runs in the session for the loss of eight wickets.
Sri Lanka needed to clean up Pakistan s tail quickly to try and engineer a result from a test match that lost its first day to rain, but the chances of either side winning look remote with five sessions to play.
