Summary Test squad to be announced tomorrow, Ahmed Shehzad is expected to make a comeback
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Saeed Ajmal is not being considered for the Sri Lanka series and has been told to play County cricket in England to regain his lost confidence while Ahmed Shehzad is expected to make a comeback as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) prepares to announce the Test squad on Wednesday, reported Daily Dunya.
Pakistan captain Misbahul Haq and Head Coach Waqar Younis have completed the consultation process and have sent the final list to Chairman PCB for approval.
According to sources, Pakistan squad will consist of Captain Misbahul Haq, Younis Khan, Azhar Ali, Mohammad Hafeez, Sami Aslam, Shan Masood, Asad Shafiq, Haris Sohail, Sarfraz Ahmed, Yasir Shah, Zulfiqar Babar, Wahab Riaz, Junaid Khan and Imran Khan. Meanwhile, one of the three fast bowlers Mohammad Sami, Bilawal Bhatti and Ziaul Haq may also be given a chance.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan is scheduled to begin its Sri Lanka tour with a three-day First Class game, starting on June 11. This series will have 3 Tests, 5 One-Day Internationals (ODI) and 2 Twenty20 matches. First Test will be played in Galle on June 17 and the tour will end on August 8.
