Summary Zimbabwe ready to visit Pakistan but India touring Pakistan was a distant dream, said Chairman PCB
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shehryar Khan has on Thursday said that doors of international cricket were opening in Pakistan as Zimbabwe was ready to tour the country. He said, however, that India touring Pakistan was a distant dream as yet, reported Dunya News.
Talking to media at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, Chairman PCB said that Zimbabwe was going to tour Pakistan while other teams had also expressed willingness to visit Pakistan. He said that restoration of international cricket in Pakistan was a welcome sign.
Shehryar Khan said that PCB was in discussions with South Africa for hosting South Africa’s Under-19 and A teams in Pakistan but India cannot be invited to Pakistan during the next two years. Right now, it’ll be great even if the two teams agree to play at neutral venue like United Arab Emirates (UAE), he said.
Chairman PCB also seemed hopeful for winning the Bangladesh series. However, he made it clear that unfit players would have no place in the team.
