Summary It is highly probable that Selection Committee will announce squads for all 3 formats on Friday
LAHORE: (Daily Dunya) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has on Thursday given green signal for the Bangladesh tour and it is highly probable that the Selection Committee will announce the national squad for all three formats (Test, ODI and T-20) on Friday.
According to Dunya sources, selection committee has completed the consultation process and approval will be taken from Chairman PCB Shehryar Khan on Friday. Announcement will be made afterwards.
Sources claimed that there was little chance of changes in the Test squad but younger players might be given chance for One-Day Internationals (ODI) in place of former captains Shahid Khan Afridi, Misbahul Haq and Younis Khan. Ahmed Shehzad, Umar Akmal and Nasir Jamshed may also be dropped for their poor performance in the World Cup 2015.
Fast bowler Mohammad Irfan will be given rest while new ODI captain Azhar Ali along with Samee Aslam, Babar Azam, Junaid Khan and Fawad Alam may be included in the squad.
