LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Haroon Rasheed as a Chief Selector today (Saturday), Dunya News reported.

As per details, a high official meeting was taken place in Lahore in which Chairman PCB Shahryar Khan elected Haroon Rasheed as a Chief Selector by dismissing Moin Khan from the post whereas Saleem Jaffer, Azhar Khan and Kabir Khan have also been included in the selection committee.

Earlier, PCB geared up to select new one-day international (ODI) captain and members of selection committee, Dunya News reported.

As per details, PCB has initiated meetings with former officials and players to sort out the matter of new ODI captain as Azhar Ali has been taken as a strong contestant for national team’s captaincy.

Chairman PCB Shahryar Khan met Chief Selector Moin Khan in Lahore to discuss the matter of his tenure. Moin Khan was appointed for the selection of national team for World Cup 2015 and his contact was for two years only.

Moin Khan would likely to be offered another position in PCB in a wake of his contract’s completion.

On the other hand, Moin Khan also met Salahuddin Sallu, Saleem Jaffer and Sarfraz Ahmed whereas the names of Haroon Rasheed and Saleem Jaffer have been taken under consideration for the post of Chief Selector
