Summary India will play Bangladesh in the second quarter-final in Melbourne on March 19.
AUCKLAND (AFP) - Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and sent Zimbabwe into bat in the World Cup Pool B match at Eden Park in Auckland on Saturday.
India, who have already qualified for the quarter-finals after winning all their previous five matches, kept the same side which beat Ireland last time out.
Zimbabwe, out of the tournament after recording just one win in five matches, are again without their injured captain Elton Chigumbura for a second match running.
Brendan Taylor takes over the captaincy for the second successive game in what is likely to be his final international appearance before he takes up a three-year deal to play for English county Nottinghamshire.
