Summary Even commentators spoke of likelihood of Akmal receiving benefit of doubt in live commentary
LAHORE (Dunya News) – In spite of heavy criticism against third umpire’s decision, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided not to appeal Umar Akmal’s dismissal raising questions over ICC’s review mechanism, Dunya News reported.
PCB is being criticized also because the commentators also spoke of the likelihood of Akmal receiving benefit of the doubt in live match commentary.
According to the sources, PCB has no intention to appeal the controversial dismissal which has left both cricket spectators and experts in complete surprise. This is because it was expected that the officials will raise voice over the dismissal despite lack of clear sound of ball hitting the bat on snickometer.
