LAHORE (Dunya News) - The controversial decision regarding the dismissal of Umer Akmal which went into review to 3rd umpire, Steve Davis, has been the subject of debate all across Pakistan.
The decision that went to judgement by reviewing technology snicko-meter, came under heavy fire especially from Dunya TV’s panelist Saeed Ajmal and veteran Test cricketer Sarfaraz Nawaz.
Talking to Dunya TV, Saeed Ajmal said that Umpire Steve Davis has also victimised Pakistan in the past and had not given even a single dismissal that went to technology review when Saeed Ajmal was in team.
Former Test cricketer Sarfaraz Nawaz also criticized the 3rd Umpire saying that the decision to declare the batsman out came from ‘outside’ and was influenced by ‘external’ factors.
The decision came at the time when Pakistan was in deep trouble and a collapse triggered once Umar Akmal got out.
