MELBOURNE (AFP) - England captain Eoin Morgan s desperate run of poor form continued when he was out for his fourth duck in five innings during his side s World Cup opener against Australia in Melbourne.
Morgan, made skipper after Test captain Alastair Cook was axed from the one-day squad following a sequences of low scores, tried to pull medium-pacer Mitchell Marsh but instead got an under-edge that was superbly held, one-handed, by diving wicketkeeper Brad Haddin.
Morgan s exit meant he d scored just two runs in his last five innings.
