Summary Petitioner pleaded to confiscate the property of Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Amir and Salman Butt.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The assets of Pakistani cricketers Muhammad Asif, Mohammad Amir and Salman Butt have been challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC) today (Saturday).

As per details, the petitioner’s lawyer Ishtiaq Chaudhry argued that all the three cricketers have defamed the name of Pakistan in international community and have made their assets through corruption so the court should not allow them to play cricket anymore.

The petitioner also pleaded to confiscate the property of Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Amir and Salman Butt.

It may be pertinent to mention here that the cricketers along with Captain Salman Butt were found guilty of orchestrating deliberate no-balls in the Lord s Test against England in August 2010.

The three players and their agent Mazhar Majeed were jailed by a UK court after the now-defunct tabloid News of the World exposed them in a sting operation and forbidden all the three players to play any match.

However, on a formal request of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), ICC lifted ban on playing domestic cricket for Amir, who started its domestic career in 2007 while playing with National Bank.

Reacting on the Amir’s relaxation in domestic cricket, the other accomplices Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt sent notes to PCB, which were later dismissed by PCB management.
