LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistani off-spinner Saeed Ajmal is all set for his bowling action test due on January 24 in Chennai as he will be leaving for India today (Thursday), Dunya News reported.
As per details, Ajmal will play the most important match of his career while giving the test of his re-modelled bowling action.
A ban on the bowling action of Ajmal was imposed on September 9, 2014 when his action was challenged to be illegal for all the deliveries.
Now, the off-spinner has adopted five different deliveries in one over. First delivery is off-spin, second one has been considered to be an effective one, faster-one will be the third delivery, Ajmal has also taken carrom ball action as fourth delivery whereas seam up will be bowled on fifth ball of the over.
Saeed Ajmal had earlier cleared the unofficial bowling action and is now all the way seeking an official permission of bowling all these deliveries.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), if Ajmal fails to clear the official bowling test than he would likely to be asked to re-clear the test instead of one year restriction.
