LAHORE (Dunya News)-- The training camp under supervision of Waqar Younas is going on but will be seen in its full glory today. National cricket team players reported to manager Moin Khan at Gadafi Stadium for a cricket training camp previous week on Thursday. Under the supervision of head coach Waqar Younis, the training camp is still going on with major focus upon improving the physical fitness and batting, bowling and fielding skills of the players. The entire goal is upon eliminating the deficiencies of the national team’s batsmen. The Grant Luden team is determined to focus upon improving the fielding skills of the team.

Today, off spinner Saeed Ajmal and fast-bowler Junaid Khan will be joining the camp. Moreover, Umar Akmal and Younas Khan, who will play a charity match for IDPS on Saturday, will also be seen in action.


The batting coach Grant Flower and the fielding coach Grant Luden are adopting different strategies to improve the skills of the players. The evening session of the training camp has been shifted to 11 pm due to the Ramazan timings. The training camp will continue for 6 days. Following the camp, the players will play the fund-raising match for IDPS in Lahore. The Pakistan Cricket Team will leave for the Sri Lanka Tournament on August 2 after they return from Eid with their loved ones in their respective hometowns. The first innings of the tournament will be played on August 6.
