CENTURION (AP)  South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first in the third test against Pakistan at Centurion as it looked to complete a series whitewash.

 

South Africa allrounder Jacques Kallis was ruled out of the third test after picking up an injury on the eve of the match, and was replaced by debutant fast bowler Kyle Abbott.

 

Pakistan seamer Umar Gul was also unavailable due to an illness, as Ehsan Adil came in to play his first international match.

 

The Proteas already hold an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series after a 211-run victory in the first test at the Wanderers and a four-wicket win in Cape Town
