RIYADH (Dunya News) - Saudi Arabia has announced the discovery of an estimated 110 million tonnes of raw mineral resources in the Medina region, including uranium and other rare minerals.

According to foreign media reports, Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman made the announcement while addressing the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) General Conference in Vienna on Monday.

Arab media reported that the estimated resources were identified through drilling and geological exploration at the Jabal Sayid project in the Medina region.

Prince Abdulaziz said the deposits contain uranium along with rare minerals, highlighting the potential significance of the discovery for Saudi Arabia's mining and energy sectors.
