An increase of 10.14 percent was recorded in the agricultural loans during the last year, State Bank of Pakistan has said. In the financial year 2008, commercial banks gave loans of 233 billion rupees to the agricultural sector, which are 21.44 billion rupees more than the last year. During financial year 2007-08, five major banks sanctioned loans of 110.66 billion rupees.
