Summary Federal government directs CDA and EOBI to finalise joint tourism, hospitality and recreation projects for Islamabad within 15 days.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A special meeting chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi decided that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Employees' Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) will jointly launch projects related to tourism, recreation, the hospitality industry and other sectors in Islamabad.
Overseas Pakistanis Minister Salik Hussain attended the meeting via video link, while EOBI Chairman Javed Sheikh, CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf and senior officials from both organisations were also present.
The meeting directed CDA and EOBI to prepare a comprehensive plan for the proposed joint projects within 15 days.
Under the decision, another joint meeting, to be chaired by Mohsin Naqvi and Salik Hussain after 15 days, will finalise the proposed tourism, recreation, hospitality and other development projects for the federal capital.
Participants were informed that implementation of the joint initiatives will begin after receiving final approval from the prime minister.
