Gold prices fall by Rs2,700 per tola after recent surge

Summary Gold prices in Pakistan dropped by Rs2,700 per tola to Rs494,062, while silver rose by Rs80. Global gold prices also declined by $27 per ounce.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Gold prices in Pakistan declined on Friday following a sharp increase a day earlier, offering slight relief to buyers in the local bullion market.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs2,700, bringing it down to Rs494,062.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs2,315, settling at Rs423,578.

The downward trend was also reflected in the international market, where gold prices fell by $27 per ounce to reach $4,717.

Meanwhile, silver prices in the domestic market moved in the opposite direction. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs80, reaching Rs8,525.

Market analysts attribute the fluctuation in gold prices to changing trends in the global market, including currency movements and investor sentiment.
