Gawadar made tax free zone, notification issued

A notification declaring Gawadar a Tax Free Zone has been issued and 600 million rupees will be spent for establishing the small industry in Balochistan, Federal Minister for Industries Manzoor Ahmed Watoo has said. Addressing a press conference with Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani in Quetta, Watoo said that 60 percent of the Federal Ministry for Industries budget was reserved for the establishment of industry in the province. Furthermore 3.0 billion rupees will be spent on new industrial plans under SMEDA, he said. He said that Marble City and Industrial Parks will be developed in suburbs of Quetta.
