LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Privatisation Abdul Aleem Khan stated that the process of selling Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) began before his tenure and emphasised that the airline would not be sold at a throwaway price.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, he clarified that his role is to execute the privatisation process, not to manage or overhaul the national airline.
Aleem Khan explained that PIA’s privatisation framework was already established due to its consistent losses, adding that it is unfair to hold him solely responsible for the airline’s current state.
