Shehbaz says efforts afoot to boost country's exports
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that the government was taking all possible measures on a priority basis to increase the country's exports.
He was talking to a delegation of automobile and auto parts manufacturers that called on him in Islamabad on Friday.
The premier urged the automobile industry to start local manufacturing of vehicles and export a considerable ratio of their products to contribute to national development.
He asked the delegates to implement the Auto Sector Deletion Policy and become a part of the global value chain.
The delegation comprising Chief Executive Officer of Toyota Pakistan Ali Jamali and Amir Allahwala, a representative of auto parts industry, apprised the prime minister of the issues facing the auto industry.
They appreciated the prime minister for the government’s pro-business and investment policies.
Federal ministers Rana Tanveer Hussain and Jam Kamal Khan attended the meeting.
