The SBP issued currency note in green colour on 75th independence day and blue on its anniversary
(Web Desk) – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has put to rest doubt about Rs75 commemorative currency notes, saying both blue and green can be used for trading.
The SBP took to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to explain that “both blue and green color banknotes of Rs75 are legal tender & can be used as medium of exchange in all transactions across Pakistan.”

It may be recalled that the central bank issued Rs75 commemorative note in green colour on the occasion of 75th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence.
Later, the bank issued another Rs75 tender in blue to mark the anniversary of its creation.
The design of both the notes is, however, different from each other.
