PKR posts marginal gain against dollar in open market

KARACHI (Web Desk) - Maintaining its upward trajectory for the last few days, the Pakistani rupee gained against the US dollar both in interbank and open market on Tuesday.
The strengthening of the local currency against the greenback has bridged the gap between the interbank and open market within the prescribed limit assigned by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Per the currency dealers, the rupee was quoted at 286 for selling and 283 for buying purposes for customers around 1pm.
According to data provided by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP), the local unit had closed at 286.5 and 283.5 on Monday.
The local currency was hovering around the 285 level against the greenback in interbank.
