The cargo service will facilitate the advancement of future Quadrilateral Transit Trade Agreements

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Logistics Cell (NLC) has initiated cargo services for China with intentions to boost bilateral trade.

In order to promote bilateral trade and provide impetus to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, National Logistics Cell (NLC) has launched a regular cargo service from Islamabad and Karachi to Kashgar and Shanghai.

Under the bilateral trade between Pakistan and China, the convoy of NLC trucks carrying export goods has departed towards China. The initiation of cargo service has been warmly welcomed by all stakeholders in China.

The initiation of this cargo service will facilitate the advancement of future Quadrilateral Transit Trade Agreements and the practical implementation of the International Road Transport (TIR) Convention among China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Kazakhstan, thereby paving the way for regional trade promotion.

Both of these agreements establish clear roadmaps for regional trade and will serve as a guarantor of the overall economic development of the region.
