Weekly inflation increases by 0.33pc
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The weekly inflation, measured by Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI), witnessed an increase of 0.33 percent and the overall rate of inflation was recorded at 34.05 percent on an annual basis.
The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) released it weekly inflation data that showed 20 essential items prices rose, 12 fell and 19 remained stable.
The data showed, the price of a 20kg flour bag was increased by Rs124.52 to Rs2639, potato by Rs2, sugar by Rs3, and dal mash by Rs5, matches packet by Rs9 and garlic by Rs3kg.
The data showed, chicken meat became expensive by Rs4, mutton Rs15 and beef Rs7 per kg, bananas by Rs11 per dozen, and domestic LPG cylinder became cheaper by Rs15.
The PBS data showed onion became cheaper by Rs2, tomato by Re1 and mustered oil by Rs2 per kg, 2.5kg of ghee by Rs23 and cocking oil by Rs20.
