K-Electric hikes price by Rs3.93 per unit

The price increase will only be applicable on K-electric consumers for the month of May
KARACHI (Dunya News) – K-Electric has rose the price of per unit by Rs.3.93 on Thursday. A notification regarding this price increase has been issued by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) as well.
According to NEPRA's notification, K-electric got NEPRA’s nod for an increase of Rs.3.93 per unit under the monthly fuel adjustment charges for electricity in March. However, originally the request was made for increase of Rs.4.49 per unit.
NEPRA held a public hearing on May 3, 2023, the hike will only be applicable for the month of May, and the decision will be applied to all electricity consumers of K-Electric other than lifeline services and electric vehicle charging stations.
