Gold prices touch all-time high

KARACHI (Dunya News) – As the price of gold increased significantly again on Monday, it broke all records in Pakistan.

The 24-karat gold price rose by Rs2,200 per tola to an all-time high of Rs74,900. Likewise, the cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs1,886 to Rs149,948.

A $3 per ounce increase brought the cost of gold to $1,796 per ounce on the world market.

Silver prices also went up by Rs40 per tola and Rs34.29 per 10 grams, ending up at Rs2,020 and Rs1,731.83, respectively.

According to the jewellers organisation, gold prices are at an all-time high in Pakistan. A lack of dollars on the market, according to jewellers, is the cause of the country s rising gold prices since there has been an increasing trend of buying gold in the absence of dollars.
