ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) is likely to increase the price of electricity up to Rs3.12.

The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has submitted an application under monthly fuel adjustment.

The hike will put an additional burden of 30 billion rupees on already suffering people.

Out of total generation, as many as 2.84 percent electricity was generated from high speed diesel, 4 percent furnace oil, 13.77 percent local gas and 13.5 percent from imported LNG.
