Financial markets show negative trends amidst coronavirus fear

PSX slumped by 2.158 points to close at 36,060.

Karachi (WebDesk) – International stock markets observed negative trend during the business week. German and Italian stock markets downed 17.6 percent each, making it a sharp decline within a week.

On the other side, Japan Nikkei declined 17.1 percent and American financial market S&P Dow Jones fell 14.3 percent. Thailand’s stock market SET Thai also showed similar trend when it made a nosedive decline of 13.2 percent.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index fell 8.1 percent its steepest drop since 2008.

China’s Shanghai composite fell 4%.

Pakistan stock exchange

Pakistan stock exchange 100-index also fell in similar fashion as observed in world financial markets. With a trading week, PSX slumped by 2.158 points to close at 36,060.
