PM Imran expresses satisfaction on improvements in economic indicators
The PM expressed regret that people are suffering due to bad governance of previous governments.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday expressed satisfaction on improvements in economic indicators, saying government is trying its best that fruits of improved economy reach common man.
The prime minister presided over a high-level meeting to review the overall economic situation of the country.
During the meeting, the prime minister was briefed on the current situation of economic trends including current account deficit, foreign direct investment, remittances from abroad and inflation.
PM Imran Khan was told that declining trend has been witnessed in the weekly SPI and it is expected to decline further.
The prime minister expressed regret that people are suffering due to bad governance of previous governments.
He said the government is taking measures to provide maximum relief to the people, especially to those hailing from lower income backgrounds, salaried class and vulnerable segments of society.
