Economy stabilised with all indicators towards positive trajectory: PM Khan
Investment on these wind power projects will amount to USD 450 million.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Friday that the country’s economy has gained stability with all economic indicators moving towards positive trajectory.
He addressed the signing ceremony of the Super-6 310-megawatt Wind Power Projects in Islamabad.
The premier said that the local currency has been appreciating, and the stock market has been observing positive sentiments and the exports have been increasing.
He said the government’s policies were aimed at uplifting the poor segment of the society by creating maximum employment opportunities for people.
The PM said that the country has huge potential for the production of hydroelectricity but costly electricity was being produced through imported fuel.
Khan said the Super 6 wind power projects would provide affordable and environment friendly clean energy to the country.
Investment on these wind power projects will amount to USD 450 million. Out of this, USD 320 million is being arranged by International Finance Corporation, the World Bank Group.
