No privatization of PIA: President Alvi
President Alvi expressed his satisfaction over the initiatives
(Web Desk) – President Arif Alvi announced that there would be no privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) with adding that government has full confidence in the leadership of Air Marshal Arshad Malik in reviving the national flag carrier.
President Alvi further added while addressing senior officials at PIA Head Office that the turnaround had already taken off which was evident from the recent development.
On the other hand, a detailed briefing on the initiatives being taken by PIA management was given to President Alvi and PIA CEO Arshad Malik.
According to press release issued by PIA on twitter, these initiatives are depicted strong expectations about the airline meeting break-even level in approximately two years time period.
However, President Alvi expressed his satisfaction over the initiatives being taken by the present management of airline.
Later while peaking to PIA officials, President Alvi said that PIA model schools would be revived in collaboration with the professional set up and would also provide support in providing clean water to PIA township by installation of filter plants.
