ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Inflation during first six months of the current fiscal year recorded an increase of 3.75 percent as oil, vegetable and other edible items showed a steady increase.

Inflation in first six months remained within the set target but monthly figure went up to 4.57 percent, FBS Director Atiq Rehman cited the data during a presser in Islamabad.
In December, prices of chicken increased by 23 percent, rice by 2 percent, onion jumped by 130 percent. While on the other hand, petroleum products prices inched by more than 4 percent, Petrol price increased by 2 percent and Kerosene 4.4 percent.
