LONDON (AFP) - European stock markets slid at the start of trading on Thursday following a poor performance by Tokyo.
London s FTSE 100 index fell 0.4 percent compared with Wednesday s close to open at 6,274.27 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt s DAX 30 stocks shed 0.3 percent to 10,184.48 points and the CAC 40 in Paris slipped 0.3 percent also, to 4,437.02.
