Summary Petrol consumption hiked besides other products owing to its slashed price
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Consumption of petroleum products surged by eleven percent in May compared to the last year with furnace oil in lead, reported Thursday.
At least 8,98,000 tonne furnace oil was used in May with a 14 percent increase. Diesel sales also went up last month with at least 8,95,000 tonne consumption of high-speed diesel. The sales of high-speed diesel went at least five percent up.
Owing to reduced petrol price, the sales hiked by 13 percent in May taking the consumption toll to 5,60,000 tonne.
