Summary China is investing $46 billion in Pakistan under CPEC
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan attracted at least USD 19 billion foreign investment in 2015 for as many as 39 fresh projects according to Financial Times, Dunya News reported Tuesday.
The news agency reported that China has clinched the top position among foreign investors after around $46 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).The neighbouring country is not investing in Pakistan’s power sector but transport sector as well.
According to the report published, Pakistan’s biggest issue in attracting foreign investment for industrial sector is energy crisis however, the country is taking steps to curb it.
