China stocks lower in morning trade

SHANGHAI, April 3, 2015 (AFP) - Chinese stocks eased in morning trading on Friday before a long holiday weekend, taking a break from a recent rally driven by expectations of more monetary easing, dealers said.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.80 percent, or 30.72 points, to 3,795.06.

The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China s second exchange, slid 0.37 percent, or 7.66 points, to 2,035.37.

The Hong Kong stock market was closed on Friday.
