HONG KONG(AFP) - Hong Kong stocks ended the morning session 0.57 percent higher Monday, in line with a regional advance following healthy gains in New York and Europe.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 140.04 points to 24,515.28 by lunch on turnover of HK$50.05 billion ($6.46 billion).
In mainland China the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index jumped 1.63 percent, or 58.88 points, to 3,676.20.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China s second exchange, gained 2.02 percent, or 37.39 points, to 1,890.33.
