SHANGHAI (AFP) - Chinese shares were higher on Thursday morning on hopes for moves to boost the economy after the release of a weak round of economic data, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.92 percent, or 30.21 points, to 3,321.11.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China s second exchange, edged up 0.27 percent, or 4.64 points, to 1,693.79.
