TOKYO (AFP) - Tokyo stocks jumped 1.46 percent on Thursday morning, shrugging off a drop on Wall Street, as major exporters got a boost from the dollar s rebound against the yen.
The Nikkei 225 index rose 245.86 points to 17,041.82, while the Topix index of all first-section shares was up 1.12 percent, or 15.21 points, at 1,373.19
