SHANGHAI (AFP) - Chinese stocks were higher in morning trade Monday after data showed inflation remained stable in July, dealers said.

The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China s second exchange, climbed 0.33 percent, or 3.87 points, to 1,178.28.
China s annual inflation stood at 2.3 percent in July, official data showed Saturday, unchanged from June.
