SHANGHAI (AFP) - Chinese shares were lower in morning trading on Friday after data showed inflation accelerated in March, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.04 percent, or 0.91 points, to 2,133.39.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China s second exchange, fell 0.56 percent, or 6.15 points, to 1,086.55.
China s inflation rose 2.4 percent year-on-year in March, the government said Friday, stronger than the 2.0 percent recorded in February.
