KSE expects inclusion in MSCI index next year

Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) is expected to include Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) in MSCI emerging market index next year on better performance during current fiscal year. Managing Director KSE Adnan Afridi said that Lending and Borrowing system would be introduced in the exchange whereas Bond trading system would also start from September this year. He hoped that Karachi Stock Exchange would perform better this year and it was expected that KSE would be able to get a place in the MSCI index. The MSCI World is a stock market index of 1500 'world' stocks. It is maintained by MSCI Inc. and is often used as a common benchmark for 'world' or 'global' stock funds.
