Pakistans trade deficit remained US$1.15 billion during the first month of the current fiscal year which is 51 dollar less than the previous year. According to the figures by Federal Statistic Bureau, Pakistan exported products of worth US$1.49 billion while in July last year this volume was US$1.87. In July 2009, products of worth US$2.64 were imported while in July 2008 this volume was US$3.45. In financial year 2009-2009 Pakistan had to bear a trade deficit of US$17.4. Earlier this deficit was US$ 20.91 billion.
