ZTBL sanction Rs 47.38 bn of loans last year

Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) sanctioned 47.38 billion rupees of loan and earned 2.5 billion rupees of profit during fiscal year 2008-09. Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Zonal Chief ZTBL Chaudhry Muhammad Asghar told that five hundred mobile credit officers would be appointed to improve the banks efficiency this year, whereas, ten thousand tractors would be provided to the farmers under Benazir tractor scheme. He said micro credit scheme is being resumed to grant upto 25000 rupees of loans to women.
