The increase in POL and power prices along with the prevailing energy crisis have badly affected the industiral output.According to the statistics of State Bank of Pakistan, a prominent decrease of 30 percentin the production of iron and steel during the month of July till February while a ten percent decrease in the engineering products is being reported.The production of rubber manufacturing companies has decreased by one-fourth of the total production during the same period.The experts fear that the situation may worsen if the prevailing energy crisis is not resolved on preferential basis by the government.
