MUMBAI (Dunya News) - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan responded to fans’ love and birthday wishes with a special handwritten message on his 61st birthday, but did not appear on the balcony of his residence, Mannat, to wave to them.
According to Indian media reports, large numbers of fans gather outside Mannat at midnight every year to await the actor’s balcony appearance. The tradition has continued for several years, but Khan did not come out this year because the house is undergoing renovation.
Fans nevertheless remained outside his residence late into the night. Khan thanked them through a handwritten message displayed on a large billboard outside Mannat.
“Thank you for all your love and wishes. Lots of love to all of you from me as well,” the actor wrote. He ended the message by saying he was sending fans a big hug and added his signature.
Mannat was also decorated with promotional images and scenes from Khan’s upcoming film King. Two of the film’s dialogues—“King is enough on his own” and “I am not fear, I am terror”—were displayed on the billboard.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King is scheduled to release in cinemas on December 24, 2026, and is being counted among the major films set for release during the Christmas period.
