ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday directed the Ministry of Railways to take emergency steps to make train travel safe and reliable, assuring the government’s full support for the revitalisation and revolutionary reforms of Pakistan Railways.
The prime minister, in a meeting with Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, who called on him here, reiterated the government’s commitment to prioritising transparency, reforms, and public relief in the railways sector.
وزیراعظم محمد شہباز شریف سے وفاقی وزیر ریلوے محمد حنیف عباسی کی ملاقات ہوئی. ملاقات میں وزارت ریلوے کے انتظامی، مالیاتی اور اصلاحاتی امور پر تفصیلی گفتگو ہوئی. وفاقی وزیر حنیف عباسی نے وزیراعظم کو پاکستان ریلوے کی کارکردگی اور جاری منصوبوں سے آگاہ کیا.پاکستان ریلوے کی فریٹ سروسز میں بہتری اور مسافروں کو جدید سہولیات کی فراہمی کے اقدامات پر بھی تبادلہ خیال ہوا. وزیرِ اعظم نے ریل کے سفر کو محفوظ اور بااعتماد بنانے کے لیے ہنگامی بنیادوں پر اقدامات کی ہدایت کی. وزیراعظم نے ریلوے میں شفافیت، اصلاحات اور عوامی ریلیف کے شعبوں کو ترجیح دینے کا اعادہ کیا. پاکستان ریلوے کی بحالی اور انقلابی اصلاحات کے لیے وزیراعظم کی مکمل تعاون کی یقین دہانی۔

The minister briefed the prime minister on the overall performance of Pakistan Railways and its ongoing development projects.
The meeting also reviewed measures aimed at enhancing Pakistan Railways’ freight services and providing modern facilities to passengers.
