LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said she is closely monitoring the investigation into the murder of Hina Javed, after DNA and polygraph test results reportedly indicated the possible involvement of a domestic worker in the case.
In a statement shared on social media platform X on Saturday, Maryam said she was keeping a close watch on developments and the progress of the investigation. She stressed that the inquiry was still under way and that no final conclusion could be reached until the investigation had been completed.
According to the chief minister, the results of DNA and polygraph tests have raised suspicions that Hina Javed was allegedly sexually assaulted before being murdered by a domestic worker.
The findings have become a significant part of the ongoing investigation, although the reported indications do not, by themselves, establish guilt. The allegations remain subject to the investigative process and any subsequent legal proceedings.
Maryam said she was continuously monitoring the progress of the case, including the work being carried out by investigators.
The Punjab chief minister reiterated that the investigation had not yet concluded and cautioned against reaching a definitive judgment before the process was complete.
