LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Muslim Town Police have arrested five suspects and seized thousands of kites and spools of dangerous kite string during a raid in Lahore.
According to police, a warehouse near Shah Di Khoi was raided following a tip-off. Five suspects, identified as Umar, Saifullah, Hassan, Fakhar and Faheem, were arrested during the operation.
Police said a total of 6,000 kites and 300 spools of kite string were recovered from the suspects.
The suspects had allegedly stored the kites and dangerous string for sale without the required permits or licences, police added.
A case has been registered against the arrested suspects under the Kite Flying Act.
