The governor said an inquiry had also been launched into the wheat issue to determine how the wheat allocated to the province had gone missing. He said the facts would be brought to light and the inquiry report would be released soon.

Kundi said development projects would be selected on merit and only useful schemes would be pursued. He alleged that, in the past, as many as four departments had prepared bills for development work. He vowed that public funds would not be misappropriated.

He said a meeting had been convened to discuss traffic laws and improve traffic management. New traffic regulations were being prepared, and cameras would be used to improve enforcement and address complaints about challans.

On electricity shortages, the governor said he would meet WAPDA officials to discuss the increasing load-shedding. He said the practice of electricity theft would no longer be tolerated and consumers would have to pay their bills.

Kundi added that the time had passed when the province would repeatedly accuse the federal government of discrimination over electricity and gas supplies. He expressed confidence that the issues concerning power and gas would be resolved soon.

Reiterating his commitment to cooperation, the governor said the provincial administration would work alongside the federal government and maintain coordination with all provinces, setting aside differences in the interest of unity.
